Doha, Qatar, March XX, 2024:Alfardan Automobiles, the official importer of BMW vehicles in in Qatar, successfully participated in the recent Lusail Speed Fest at Qatar Airways Qatar 1812 km racing event which makes up the first round of the 2024 World Endurance Championship. The name of the Qatar 1812 km race celebrates the National Day of the State of Qatar, which falls on December 18.
Lusail International Circuit hosted this event, which formed part of the Lusail Speed Fest and lasted from Thursday, February 29, to Saturday, March 2.
It was the first time an opening round of the 2024 World Endurance Championship was held in Qatar, and also the BMW brand’s first participation in the event with two BMW M Hybrid V8 cars in the Hypercar category and two BMW M4 GT3 cars in the GT3 category.
The BMW M Motorsport team competed in the event using the BMW M Hybrid V8 – in an electrifying showcase of speed and innovation – with the goal of a successful return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, taking place in June. More than a traditional race car, this model is paving the way for an electric future for BMW M. Powered by the P66/3 eight-cylinder turbo engine with supplementary electric drive, it emphatically demonstrates how dynamic and emotional electrified M Power can be.
A range including some of BMW’s most impressive cars and motorcycles were also on display during the event – including the BMW M2 Coupe, BMW M4 Convertible and BMW X5 M. BMW Motorrad high-performance motorcycles were also on show including the BMW S 1000 RR, BMW M 1000 R, and BMW M 1000 RR. The models on display – which showcased the best of BMW’s high performance, advanced technology and breathtaking design – are also among the top vehicles from the premium automotive brand when it comes to speed and precision.
In addition, Alfardan Automobiles offered an exclusive experience for its clients inside the BMW M Motorsport garage, with an intimate look at the inner workings of BMW’s racing efforts and allowed clients to immerse themselves in the world of high-performance motorsport.

To celebrate the event, a number of BMW M models were driven by their owners in a convoy on March 2, the final day of the racing event, starting from the BMW showroom at Alfardan Towers in West Bay and heading to Lusail Circuit. The autocade offered an opportunity for BMW M owners to join in the festivities and show off their vehicles and culminated in experiencing the adrenaline of the track firsthand.w
